We are the people from the islands, from the growing lands, from the waters, from the plateaus, from the trenches of the scrubland (Cerrado), we mixed our-selves with the nature, and we are part of the place. We are recognized as fish-ermen, tide-water settlers, harvesters, tour guides, family farmers, we live by the occupation of handle nature, taking from her food, medicine, sustenance and inspiration to create.

Quem somos

We are a dense and organic community network of family farmers, harvesters fishermen, farmers and tourist guides that conformed the culture with, and no against, the scrublands (Cerrados ), considering its immense biological diversity, water wealth and productive potential.

The Marketing Network Partnership of Family Farmers and Extractive of the Scrublands (Cerrado) seeks to strengthen its dynamic community policy on sustainable use of natural resources in the scrublands (Cerrados) area, based on technical and political role of agro extractive dwellers, implementing agro ecological production systems and building self administrators ventures, which add value to their partner-productive organization. Therefore, the agro extractive dwellers that build the Network implement processes that ensure its autonomy in relation to:

  • occupation of the scrubland (Cerrado) territory, in a fairly and solidarity way, respecting knowledge and dos, through the warranty of the right of the land, water and biodiversity;
  • technical assistance, developed through training of harvesters supervisors that accompany the planning of the family unit and/or communal areas for production agro ecology process and sustainable management;
  • agro-industrialization of the products and by-products (waste), adding value and ensuring greater integration into the market;
  • give meaning to the know-how of scrubland (Cerrado) populations, through a proper marketing of products and services offered by Network, branded Scrubland Emporium (“Empório do Cerrado” ).
  • participatory guarantee systems, as a proper tool of social control to the developed processes;
  • community tourism, as a means of interaction, learning, valuing agro extractive culture;
  • access to the solidarity credit (click and see the Network Cred); and
  • marketing strategies development, combining fair price and access to new markets, such as, schools, supermarkets, health food stores and fairs.
